Department of Psychiatry University of Cambridge
The Mental Health | Policy | Economics group integrates expertise from psychiatry, public health, economics, global mental health, and policy-making.
The groups primary mission is to foster a comprehensive understanding of emerging mental health challenges, especially in the context of socio-economic disparities, with an emphasis on the economic determinants that influence mental health.
The group is focused on the marginalized populations most impacted by these disparities and has a global health framework, encompassing topics such as problematic use of the internet and its effects on mental health in a digital age, substance use and policy, autism and special educational needs in schools, and digital mental health.
